Its not often I find a website that definitively embellishes style everyday of the week. Also, it is not often I find a website that I consider very similar to this blog. Notcot.org is one of the best sites on the net to find all things stylish and to find the best for the design driven people I know you all are :)! Definitely check www.NotCot.org out...in fact, check it at least once a day!
Nick La, a web designer (one of the best around), who writes for web designer magazine and maintains the website http://www.ndesign-studio.com/ is the winner of the most stylish website of 2006. His beautiful vector backgrounds make the page jump out of the screen and the art is top class. He may have gotten me because I am a Vector junkie but there is no doubt this is a superb design. Hats off Nick!
Well, I have a final in two hours, one tonight, and then I'm done so this is the beginning of a long string of articles! To kick it off I wanted to share with you a sweet new site that I found and it is in place of the regular album of the week article. It is a site called Musicovery and the way it works is you pick one of the 18 genres they have listed and then choose what kind of mood you want. The moods are dark and positive on the X axis and calm and energetic on the Y axis. Once this is chosen a crazy chart is made with songs according to your selections and you are free to change the songs by navigating the chart. It is a really fun, stylish way to find new music! This is one of the coolest sites in the Flavorpill network. (www.flavorpill.com) What they are doing on "Select Flavor" is showcasing up-coming artists by a piece of their art that incorporates Budweiser Select into their art.
